Forensic Polygraph Examiner - Forensic Psychophysiologist

Alfred Podhorodecki is a Forensic Psychophysiologist, Polygraph Examiner and a qualified Senior Counsellor with more than 30 years experience in law enforcement including the Military Police, the Railway Investigation Department, the Transit Patrol Department, the Transit Police and the Victoria Police. Alfred obtained the rank of Chief Inspector and acting Superintendent with the Transit Patrol Department. Alfred was the Officer in Charge of the Transit Training Unit, an Inspector with the Internal Investigation Unit; an Inspector in the Operations Transit Police, Senior Officer in the Crime Prevention Unit, and Vandal Intelligence Unit, and a Senior Officer in the Railways Investigation Department Crime Unit. Alfred left the Transit Patrol to take up the position of Deputy Head of Department of Police Studies at Monash University and he lectured in Justice Studies, Security Management, Police Studies and Ethics at Monash, Melbourne and RMIT Universities.

Alfred is extensively qualified and his academic qualifications include:

Masters Degree in Education Policy and Administration, Bachelor of a Arts Degree (Police Studies),Diploma of Police Studies, Diploma of Social Science (Justice Studies), Diploma of Security Management, Polygraph Examiners Certificate, Interview and Interrogation Techniques Certificate, Polygraph Testing of Post Conviction Sex Offenders, the Victoria Police Civil Investigators Certificate.

Alfred completed his polygraph studies and advanced polygraph studies at the Maryland Institute of Criminal Justice USA, as well as forensic studies at the University of Houston Downtown Criminal Justice Training Centre USA. Alfred is a member of the American Polygraph Association (APA), the Forensic Polygraph Association of Australia, the International Police Association, and the Military Police Association Australia.
